So boasts the tour page banner of Shemale Scenes, a site that will allegedly give you high quality downloadable shemale hardcore movies. Declaring itself host to "the largest collection of shemale movies" featuring "raunchy and filthy transsexuals from all over the globe" this site seems to think it'll cater to everybody even remotely interested in chick-with-dick pornography. Whether or not that's the case is the very reason for this review. After all, we couldn't have you throwing $29.95 down the drain to find out for yourself, could we? But what exactly is your thirty bucks supposed to get you? How about a hefty helping of bareback buttfucking, tranny-male and tranny-female pairings, a bunch of group sex, and plenty of long, lingering shots of these uniquely sexy women and their unique sexual apparatus, that's what! If that sounds like your particular cup of tea, quit fuckin' around and follow me as I turn every page, flip every rock, and peek around every corner, virtually speaking, of Shemale Scenes and see, dear reader, just what is up!

Pros:
First of all, let it be clear that Shemale Scenes holds a big ol' stack of, uh, shemale scenes; more than 350 in fact. Conveniently split into two sections, DVD Scenes and Exclusive Episodes, the video collection offers plenty of viewing opportunities to the discerning tranny-fan. (That means you, you!)

Given the size of its video archive, it's not surprising to find Shemale Scenes hosting a fairly wide variety of hardcore content. Menu options point you to oral, fetish, female - shemale, shemale - shemale, group, and bareback scenes, and there's also a bunch of masturbation scenes online for those in the mood for something a little less raucous.

Shemale Scenes' HD videos look pretty gosh darn good, I must say. While the Exclusive Episodes have been granted the best looking formats and make it all the way to 1280x720 pixels (a High Definition resolution), the DVD Scenes don't look too shabby at 960x720 pixels. Photos are also quite visually impressive, reaching 1600px resolutions in the downloadable zips, though not on the page.

Cons:
Although the video pages include a "Streaming" option, clicking this link doesn't start a video playing in your browser window, instead asking you where you'd like to save your F4V or MP4 file. Getting by without video streams shouldn't bother too many potential members, but it does force you to deal with the 6 GB daily download limit. Combine these two issues and you're looking at fairly limited viewing options.

Contrary to the tour page boasts, Shemale Scenes does indeed host some "fuzzy movies", albeit ones reaching fairly impressive resolutions. Dated sources can rarely be improved that greatly and pretty much every scene in the DVD Scenes portion of the collection has some apparent blurring, pixilation, or artifacting that keeps them from being as impressive as the Exclusive Episodes.

Shemale Scenes' collection is unfortunately comprised largely of nonexclusive content that has been licensed from various sources. These DVD Scenes account for 278 of the 358 total videos on the site, leaving just 80 exclusive, original episodes.

While the Exclusive Episodes have certainly been given a bit of the ol' shaft-a-roo, it's the photo content that has really been dealt a raw deal. Whereas the Exclusive Episodes number 80 scenes and are updated once a week, and a new DVD Scene is added roughly every five days, the photo galleries, all 27 of them, show no update information and are most likely no longer being added.

Conclusion:
When you go around bandying about promises of pristine high-resolution videos that blow away the competition, it's probably a good idea to have a plentiful supply of such videos, preferably greater in number than the less impressive parts of a video archive. Shemale Scenes tripped up on this point: of the 358 scenes only 80 are presented in a recognized HD video resolution (1280x720 pixels) while the rest linger a little further behind. This issue and the questionable exclusivity of the DVD Scenes portion of the collection aside, there are just a few niggling quibbles that may prevent Shemale Scenes members from getting the most out of the site. A daily download limit of 6 GB is in place and will likely be hit by those forced into download by the static download-only scenes; there are so few photo galleries they might as well not even exist; the design of the site and presentation of the content could use some jazzing up. While it's clearly the lesser of the three sites it provides access to, a Shemale Scenes membership isn't a bad way to get at some premium transsexual hardcore, when compared to Shemale Club and Private Transsexual it just isn't the most direct.
